SPRINGFIELD, Mo. \u2014<\/strong> True to its mission of celebrating, promoting and preserving the sport of bass fishing, the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame is once again committing $65,000 this year to students and conservation groups to assist in their research and enhancement of bass fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From college fisheries students to lake associations and bass clubs, folks who are working hard to improve bass fisheries should consider submitting an application to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame as soon as possible to take advantage of this generous ongoing support offered by the Hall each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation is just one of several groups across North America to benefit recently by using a $5,000 grant from the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame to purchase Mossback\u00ae fish habit structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are incredibly grateful to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame for funding these habitat projects in Northwest Arkansas, which serve as a perfect example of how public-private partnerships ensure vital conservation work is accomplished while teaching the next generation of student enthusiasts how the work is done,” said Deke Whitbeck, President of the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Longtime Tennessee B.A.S.S. Nation Conservation Director Jake Davis also reflects gratefulness to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame for their generosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe purchased 125 MossBack\u00ae habitat systems and material to put together 170 reusable Christmas tree based, 20 \u2018whalebone\u2019 structures,” Davis said. “We could never help the lakes of Tennessee as much as we have over the past 9 or 10 years without the support of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
